About the role

  • Resource Planner optimizing workforce deployment for Arcadis, a sustainable design, engineering and consultancy company. Managing demand forecasting, talent allocation and resource planning data across projects.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with team managers to maximize billability and forecast reliability
  • Monitor and manage the demand marketplace and workforce planning requests
  • Own the quality and accuracy of the 12-week look-ahead
  • Identify work and demand that can be planned in advance for Design & Engineering
  • Provide dashboard insights and feedback to stakeholders
  • Identify and recommend recruitment needs
  • Support mobilization and de-mobilization of talent to projects
  • Serve as the primary contact for talent seeking new opportunities
  • Build relationships with team managers, pursuit leaders, project managers and account leaders
  • Identify suitable resource options for pursuits and projects
  • Identify and resolve workforce planning data gaps and inaccuracies
  • Support onboarding of new joiners and completion of WFP Tags profiles
  • Identify and escalate supply and demand risks
  • Provide early warning of supply gaps or oversupply to Sector WFP Directors
  • Find suitable talent and profiles to support sales pursuits
  • Identify client requirements and integrate them into WFP Tags
  • Support prioritization of top-tier clients and major opportunities
  • Act as point of contact for Tier 3-4 client teams

Requirements

  • Experience in workforce planning, resource planning, deployment coordination or similar operational planning roles within the AEC or related professional services industry
  • Deep understanding of workforce analytics and forecasting
  • Knowledge of demand signals, forecast accuracy and billability impacts on deployment decisions
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of regional talent trends, labor markets and basic employment law
  • Analytical and data-driven approach to workforce planning data
  • Change management and transformation expertise
  • Knowledge of workforce planning systems, WFP Tags and demand matching, or ability to build comparable knowledge quickly
  • Client-oriented, solution-driven mindset
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and escalate risks appropriately
  • Understanding of utilization, billability, project margins and commercial drivers
  • Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority
  • Ability to make resource allocation recommendations
  • Degree-level education in a relevant technical or commercial discipline such as business, operations, human resources or analytics, or equivalent practical experience
