About the role
- Data Architect designing scalable, AI-ready data solutions for business transformations using Microsoft Azure technologies and Microsoft Fabric. Collaborate with engineering and business peers on analytics environments.
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end data architectures, defining ingestion, transformation, and curation patterns that support analytics and AI workloads
- Ensure efficient replication, synchronization, and data flow across Fabric workspaces and multi-zone environments
- Ensure all data architectures align with Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and the Azure Well-Architected Framework
- Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting, analytics, and AI needs and design scalable, flexible data models
- Define structures, metadata, and access patterns for data discoverability and usability for AI workloads
- Collaborate with peers to implement encryption, role-based access controls, and data masking
- Guide architecture decisions related to Fabric SKUs and data refresh strategies
- Work closely with Data Engineers to translate architecture into delivery and promote data quality
- Produce reference architectures, blueprints, and reusable standards for future projects
Requirements
- 7 or more years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or data platform design
- At least 2 years experience in the Microsoft Azure data ecosystem
- Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Power BI
- Strong understanding of data lakehouse design, ELT/ETL patterns, and schema evolution
- Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of Python for automation or validation tasks
- Familiarity with data governance and metadata management tools such as Microsoft Purview
- Practical understanding of data security, RBAC, encryption, and privacy best practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across disciplines
- Strategic thinker comfortable in AI-ready, iterative, and client-focused environments
