Installation Technician installing, repairing, and upgrading automated pedestrian doors for ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems. Troubleshooting electro-mechanical and low-voltage systems while serving customers and contractors.
Responsibilities
Perform service and installation according to manufacturers’ recommended procedures and specifications
Document time spent and job-site problems, shortages, and inefficiencies
Perform work safely to prevent accidents and protect people and property
Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment
Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repair, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations
Diagnose and troubleshoot electro-mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic
Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low-voltage wiring
Maintain professional communication with customers, end-users, and contractors
Participate in training programs
Participate in on-call rotations after certification and training
Deliver reliable door solutions and exceptional customer service
Requirements
3-5 years’ experience of direct industry, storefront door installation, or relevant industry experience
Minimum age requirement of 21
Must be able to successfully obtain AAADM certification within six months of employment and maintain certification as required
Must be able to successfully obtain AAADM certification within one year of employment and maintain certification as required
Mechanical aptitude with experience in repairing electro-mechanical devices
Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage (120v) wiring
Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware preferred
Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
High commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and teamwork
Ability to lift, bend, and use power tools effectively
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, positioning, and installing door components weighing up to 110 pounds with lifting aids
Ability to climb ladders, kneel, drive, and work in various positions as required
