About the role

Responsibilities
- Provide physical and personnel security support, including assistance with physical security controls
- Assist in evaluating security posture to safeguard personnel, buildings, and assets through access control management
- Build and maintain effective working relationships to support physical security policies and procedures
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant security regulations and standards
- Serve as an Alternate Company Security Officer (ACSO) for Designated Organization Screening and Facility Security Clearance requirements
- Support the Security Lead by processing and managing security clearances for staff and contractors
- Assist employees and contractors with personnel security processes and ensure required briefings and file safeguarding
Requirements
- Ability to apply knowledge from College or Technical training in a related field (asset)
- Aptitude for supporting security-related activities, ideally with 4+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to provide strong administrative support within a security environment
- Proficiency in communicating effectively with all levels of management and government contacts
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Level II (SECRET) clearance with the Government of Canada
