About the role

  • Senior Railway Electrification Engineer overseeing electrified transit projects in Canada. Leading engineering, design, and commission activities while ensuring compliance and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering activities for catenary (OCS/OLC), traction substations, and HV/MV/LV distribution systems
  • Manage multidisciplinary technical interfaces (civil works, track, telecom, mechanical, systems)
  • Oversee detailed design development, system integration, and technical reviews
  • Supervise construction, installation methods, phasing, site testing, and commissioning
  • Develop technical specifications, tender documents, and regulatory compliance requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng/OIQ) license required or eligible
  • Minimum 10–15 years experience in railway electrification or traction power systems
  • Experience with large‑scale transit projects in design, construction, testing, and commissioning
  • Expertise in AC/DC catenary systems, traction substations, and HV/MV/LV networks
  • Fluency in French and English
