About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead studies on mine water management
  • Develop water balances and perform water quality analyses
  • Develop models to estimate water quality
  • Prepare design criteria and mass balances
  • Collaborate with other disciplines involved in the project
  • Participate in project meetings
  • Manage project studies and maintain communications with the client
  • Travel internationally for short-term assignments

Requirements

  • University degree (Bachelor’s minimum) in civil, mechanical, or chemical engineering with a specialization in water management and/or water treatment
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in studies and design of water management and/or water treatment systems for industrial and/or mining projects
  • Knowledge of hydrology and hydraulics is an asset
  • Proficiency with PipeFlo is an asset
  • Proficiency with GoldSim is an asset
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • Excellent command of French and English (spoken and written)
