About the role

DevOps Engineer managing infrastructure for Autodesk's field delivery platform built on AWS. Ensuring system reliability, security, and cost efficiency while collaborating with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Own and operate the infrastructure for our field delivery platform, ensuring high availability, performance, and cost efficiency
Manage and improve our infrastructure-as-code setup
Administer and optimize our AWS PostgreSQL database, including backups, monitoring, scaling, and disaster recovery
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enable fast, safe, and repeatable deployments across web and mobile
Implement and enforce security best practices across all infrastructure
Collaborate with other Autodesk teams to meet organizational standards for security, privacy, data governance, and regulatory compliance
Set up and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability tooling
Define and maintain incident response processes, runbooks, and on-call procedures
Manage cloud costs and resource usage by identifying waste, right-sizing services, and planning capacity
Work with software engineers to design infrastructure for new systems being built
Document infrastructure architecture, operational procedures, and compliance controls

5+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or site reliability engineering
Experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools at scale
Hands-on experience with AWS services including compute, networking, storage, IAM, and managed databases
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for production systems
Strong understanding of security fundamentals including network segmentation, least-privilege access, and encryption at rest and in transit
Experience working within compliance frameworks and partnering with security or governance teams
Familiarity with observability platforms (e.g. Datadog, CloudWatch, Grafana)
Comfortable with scripting and automation (e.g. Python, Bash, or similar)
