About the role
- Audit Manager leading public company engagements for Davidson & Company, Canada’s leading independent public auditor. Guiding audit teams, managing clients, and applying IFRS, CAS, US GAAP, and PCAOB standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end client engagements from planning through final deliverables.
- Manage engagements across diverse industries and engagement sizes.
- Build client relationships through clear communication, practical solutions, and high-quality service.
- Collaborate with Engagement Partners on budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
- Translate complex accounting concepts into client-friendly insights.
- Lead, coach, and inspire junior and senior team members.
- Maintain expertise in IFRS, CAS, US GAAP, and PCAOB standards.
- Drive innovation and efficiency within audit teams.
- Provide proactive advice and guidance to clients.
Requirements
- CPA designation (or equivalent) required.
- 5+ years of public practice audit experience.
- Solid technical knowledge in IFRS, CAS, US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards.
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Leadership, motivation, mentoring, and team-development abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, stay organized, and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Experience using Caseware and MS Office.
- Willingness to leverage AI-driven tools and new technologies.
