About the role
- Security Information Assistant responsible for coordinating security access and training at Babcock. Ensuring compliance with security policies and facilitating ongoing awareness for personnel.
Responsibilities
- Arrange security access to business sites as required including coordinating shipyard access and safety training
- Organize, schedule, and assist in delivering general security training
- Assist in onboarding new employees and subcontractors
- Assist in the creation, recording, and distribution of facility access cards
- Program access card system (Kantech)
- Enter, track, remove alarm PIN codes – all locations
- Assist with tracking of building access system for various locations
- Monitor and distribute communications to the general security mailbox
- Develop and distribute communications related to Security, Information Assurance, and Emergency events
- Support the development of Babcock Canada security policies and procedures
- Organize and arrange security meetings with management and Information Asset Owners
- Assist with quarterly presentations
- Participate in meetings regarding security analytics
- Assist with Defence Resource Management Information System and Defence Wide Area Network access for Babcock personnel
- Assist as an Alternate Company Security Officer
- Facilitate ongoing security education and awareness to Babcock personnel
Requirements
- 1-3 years administrative experience
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience working with personnel security is an asset
- Project Management experience and/or qualifications is an asset
- Eligibility for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
