About the role

  • Banking Manager leading BDO’s Canadian Personal Debt Solutions banking operations. Overseeing estate-fund transactions, compliance, team performance, and client service across offices.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Banking Centre of Excellence within the Personal Debt Solutions team
  • Lead day-to-day banking operations across multiple offices
  • Coordinate and distribute workload across the team
  • Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
  • Oversee bank reconciliations, PAD agreements, dividend distributions, interim payments, final disbursements, and fee cheques
  • Resolve complex banking issues, exceptions, and client escalations
  • Communicate performance expectations, priorities, and operational objectives
  • Partner with Licensed Insolvency Trustees, Team Leaders, and internal teams
  • Identify performance gaps and implement resolution and improvement plans
  • Ensure accurate, efficient work in accordance with quality assurance standards
  • Coach, mentor, and support team members' professional growth and subject-matter expertise

Requirements

  • Experience leading, mentoring, and coaching staff
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience within the Insolvency field
  • Consumer insolvency experience; corporate insolvency experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, specifically related to handling estate funds
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks accurately with attention to detail
  • Flexibility to accommodate varying work schedules, including occasional evening hours
  • Commitment to teamwork, exceptional client service, and high-quality, detail-oriented work
