About the role

Analytics Implementation Engineer enabling web and app analytics for Best Buy Canada, one of Canada’s largest technology retailers. Managing tagging, data collection, A/B testing, and governance.

Responsibilities

Work cross-functionally with analysts, agile development teams, and business stakeholders to ensure tracking supports key business objectives
Implement and manage marketing and analytics tags across Adobe, Google, and third-party platforms
Develop, document, and implement data-collection best practices, continuously improving and automating implementation
Execute end-to-end tagging development while adhering to technology, architecture, security, and governance standards
Support A/B testing and personalization, including test setup, audience building, tracking validation, user support, troubleshooting, and process optimization
Collaborate with legal and data engineering teams to ensure compliant data collection under GDPR and Bill C64
Help define and execute the data technology roadmap

4+ years’ experience designing and implementing analytics solutions across web and app
Expertise in Adobe Analytics implementation using Adobe Launch
Experience with Google Analytics and Google Ad Manager (GAM) is ideal
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, React/React Native, and Firebase
Experience with custom tagging, data validation, and integration with analytics platforms
Experience designing and implementing enterprise data layers and workflows
Experience with data governance strategies
Experience with debuggers and audit tools such as Charles, ObservePoint, and Developer Console
