About the role

Senior Cloud Engineer designing and implementing AWS cloud infrastructure solutions. Collaborating with teams to ensure operational excellence and business objectives.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure and services on AWS, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
Architect and implement solutions using AWS best practices, including networking, compute, storage, and security services
Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud environments for performance, cost, and security
Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to support application deployment and CI/CD pipelines
Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies
Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the team

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a strong focus on AWS
Deep knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS CDK)
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS)
Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles
Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
