About the role
- Senior Cloud Engineer designing and implementing AWS cloud infrastructure solutions. Collaborating with teams to ensure operational excellence and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure and services on AWS, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
- Architect and implement solutions using AWS best practices, including networking, compute, storage, and security services
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud environments for performance, cost, and security
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to support application deployment and CI/CD pipelines
- Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies
- Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a strong focus on AWS
- Deep knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS CDK)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS)
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles
- Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
