About the role

Business Intelligence Student analyzing data and building dashboards for Bird Construction. Supporting KPI monitoring, data validation, and data-driven recommendations during an 8-month co-op.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the team to gather, analyze, and interpret data from databases, spreadsheets, and other platforms
Assist in developing and implementing data collection, data cleansing, and data validation procedures
Help create reports, dashboards, and visualizations for business stakeholders
Conduct data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and insights supporting strategic decision-making and operational improvements
Assist in monitoring and evaluating business performance metrics and KPIs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven recommendations
Support ad-hoc data requests from various departments
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in business intelligence and analytics
Independently manage an assigned area of responsibility with support from a Supervisor and Technical Mentor

Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, or equivalent program
Will complete at least one more semester of education following the internship
GPA of 3.0 or higher
Ability to lead and operate in an environment where change happens frequently
