About the role
- Senior Java Developer migrating on-premise data infrastructure to a cloud-first data platform at Bounteous. Collaborating with engineering teams to modernize and optimize backend data processing systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java-based backend and data processing components
- Support migration of legacy ETL pipelines to cloud-native architecture
- Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and services
- Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams on modernization initiatives
- Integrate modern cloud data technologies into the platform ecosystem
- Troubleshoot and improve performance of backend services and ETL workflows
- Participate in testing, deployment, and production support activities
Requirements
- Strong hands-on Java development experience
- Experience with backend/distributed systems development
- Solid experience with ETL pipelines and data engineering
- Experience migrating on-prem platforms to cloud environments
- Hands-on experience with Databricks
- Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse technologies
- Strong understanding of cloud-first and distributed data architectures
- Experience working in enterprise-scale environments
