About the role

  • Capital markets support engineer maintaining and transforming financial technology platforms for Capgemini clients. Troubleshooting incidents, developing solutions, and supporting trade lifecycle integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for incidents and service requests in a Capital Markets environment
  • Support maintenance, enhancements, and development activities
  • Maintain team governance routines, including updates to procedures and preparation of documentation for governance forums and meetings
  • Operate with a limited level of direct supervision and a high degree of independence
  • Propose areas for improvement based on stakeholder input and analysis of related data
  • Perform regular system checks and analyses and provide reports on system functionality and service levels
  • Troubleshoot and restore system processing in the event of incidents and problems
  • Help drive platform transformation strategies using new technologies and tools that best support business needs
  • Design, architect, and successfully implement effective, high-quality solutions that resolve complex business problems and support business requirements
  • Ensure delivery according to pre-agreed timelines and budget constraints
  • Ensure integrity, quality, performance, and reliability by building automated testing and regression suites and applying DevOps principles
  • Effectively manage a team of technical professionals, including software engineers and developers, by setting expectations, monitoring performance, and providing technical guidance and coaching
  • Assist in talent acquisition and team building activities

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Capital Markets, supporting back-office operations
  • Experience working closely with end users, resolving day-to-day operational issues, converting functional gaps into technical specifications, and planning development activities
  • Good knowledge and experience with .NET Framework 4.0/3.5, SQL, XML, and Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2019
  • Strong knowledge of MSSQL, PL/SQL, and Stored Procedures
  • Support Engineer experience in handling incidents
  • Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, development, and debugging, with the ability to learn and deploy on the job
  • Experience with Windows PowerShell scripting
  • Agile Scrum experience is desirable
  • Experience with Control-M and OBM monitoring
  • Integration experience is desirable
  • Good knowledge of trade lifecycle, accounting/ledgering, and integration with third-party financial products such as FIS, Bloomberg, and BNY
  • Ability to work US holidays
