About the role

  • Sterling File Gateway Senior Developer at Capgemini Engineering. Leading design and implementation of B2B file transfer solutions with IBM Sterling technology.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, configuration, and deployment of solutions using IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) and related B2B tools
  • Collaborate directly with customers to gather requirements, understand business needs, and provide technical guidance
  • Develop and maintain routing channels, partner profiles, code lists, and transfer workflows in SFG
  • Work on protocol configurations (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2, etc.) and secure partner onboarding
  • Integrate SFG with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and external systems
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize file transfer processes for performance and reliability
  • Ensure compliance with security, audit, and governance policies for data exchange
  • Provide knowledge transfer, mentoring, and documentation for customer teams
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, customer-centric solutions

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in IBM Sterling File Gateway and Sterling B2B Integrator development
  • Strong understanding of file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTP/S, HTTP/S, AS2, OFTP2, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience in partner onboarding, routing channel configuration, and process development
  • Solid knowledge of security standards (PGP encryption, SSL/TLS, digital certificates)
  • Experience with error handling, monitoring, and reporting in file transfer solutions
  • Strong knowledge of integration concepts (EDI, XML, APIs, MQ, Web Services)
  • Ability to work directly with customers, gather requirements, and present solutions clearly.
