Senior Software Engineer working on one of the world's largest social media platforms. Working in R&D to solve technical challenges in a challenging, innovative environment.

Responsibilities

Obtain tasks from the project lead or Team Lead (TL), prepares functional and design specifications, and approves them with all stakeholders.
Ensure that assigned area/areas are delivered within set deadlines and required quality objectives.
Update and optimize local and metadata models.
Evaluate implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.
Troubleshoot and optimize data systems.
Understand the business drivers and analytical use-cases and translate these to data products.
Initiate and conduct code reviews, create code standards, conventions, and guidelines.
Suggest technical and functional improvements to add value to the product.

5+ years of experience as a Full stack Software Engineer, FE - JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, particularly React and BE - Python with Fast API/Flask or similar.
Proven experience in user support, including implementing complex Java-based components and deploying them to production services with minimal guidance from senior engineers.
Proactive learner with the ability to follow a runbook, aiming to resolve 70% of user issues during business hours support rotation.
Must have experience doing channel support and answer questions regarding service SLO.
Experience in Node.js, AWS, K8S and Docker is good to have.
