About the role

  • Senior security professional overseeing Canadian government contract security, controlled goods, audits, and clearances. Supporting Honeywell’s automation, aerospace, energy, and industrial solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain all site cleared employee required training
  • Perform internal audits as required
  • Work with Cyber Engineering to develop a System Security Plan (SSP) from entrance to exit of sensitive materials and hardware
  • Apply site security policies
  • Perform security surveys identifying requirements to enable business growth
  • Be directly accessible to senior members of the organization and influence internal policies and procedures
  • Serve as official point of contact with Public Services and Procurement Canada's Contract Security Program and Controlled Goods Program
  • Comply with contract security requirements, including maintaining organization security clearance, screening personnel, and securing information and assets
  • Work with Sales/Contracts from bid proposal through contract award
  • Sponsor subcontractors and request approval for visits to secure sites
  • Conduct annual audits and inspections of sensitive contracts and maintain inspection records
  • Safeguard protected and classified information and assets
  • Assist with maintaining site registrations with the Contract Security Program
  • Act as backup to the Company Security Officer and share responsibility for managing security requirements for Government of Canada contracts
  • Ensure employees, officers, and directors are assessed and authorized before examining, possessing, or transferring controlled goods
  • Verify personal information for temporary workers, international students, and visitors for exemption applications
  • Maintain all site registrations with the Controlled Goods Program

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a Federal Government of Canada Security Clearance minimum level of Secret
  • Canadian citizenship
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with all activities of the organization related to Federal Government contracts
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Industrial Security and, or Controlled Goods
  • This position is contingent on your Designated Official and Company Security Officer Certification
  • College/University degree or equivalent
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Experience in working in a dynamic team environment
  • Excellent organizational/task prioritization skills
  • Computer proficiency w/Windows and Office Products
