About the role

  • Senior bilingual talent acquisition specialist guiding full-cycle recruitment for CBC/Radio-Canada. Building diverse talent pipelines and advising managers across specialized business areas.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and advise managers throughout the full recruitment cycle
  • Identify recruitment needs and draft job descriptions
  • Select posting channels and testing methods
  • Screen applicants and develop interview guides
  • Participate in selection boards as needed
  • Extend offers to successful candidates
  • Act as the primary contact for managers and candidates
  • Provide timely updates and ongoing support
  • Ensure recruitment activities comply with collective agreements, corporate policies and labour legislation/regulations
  • Maintain a talent pipeline through social media, internal databases, specialized groups, professional networks and targeted campaigns
  • Develop and implement talent attraction strategies for a qualified, diverse workforce
  • Promote the employer brand and benefits to potential candidates
  • Represent the organization and network at recruitment events
  • Stay current with evolving industry practices
  • Contribute to improving recruitment processes
  • Collaborate with and provide direction to Talent Acquisition coordinators
  • Oversee recruitment workflows and ensure hiring-manager needs are met

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, industrial relations or a related field
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years’ relevant experience in full-cycle talent acquisition
  • English and French bilingualism required
  • Advanced English reading and speaking; intermediate English writing
  • Advanced French reading and speaking; intermediate French writing
  • Influential leadership abilities to guide processes, persuade others and negotiate hiring conditions
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills in English and French
  • Superior interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to manage a high volume of varied, specialized recruitment assignments
  • Proactive approach to creative sourcing and networking strategies
  • High degree of judgment, attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality and procedural integrity
  • Ability to operate in a complex, fast-moving and evolving environment
  • Proficiency with tools in the Google and Office suites
  • Applicant tracking system experience; Workday an asset
  • Prior recruitment experience in media, digital or technology sectors an asset
  • Experience in a unionized environment an asset
  • Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing
  • Successful candidates must complete a mandatory criminal record check and potentially other background checks
