About the role
- Specialist supporting National Security team initiatives, providing analytical and reporting support for security measures and risk evaluations. Collaborating on various security projects and audits in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide reporting, analytical support, and support the delivery of security measures and security infrastructure management programs.
- Monitor and respond to security correspondence and concerns from staff (threat email screening/triage).
- Supervise on-site security personnel.
- Implement and oversee elements of security projects.
- Document management.
- Investigate crimes and threats against the corporation.
- Support special event risk evaluations (e.g., award shows, galas, TV shows).
- Support the development and deployment of security awareness material.
- Support corporate fire safety/prevention initiatives.
- Support security audits.
- Support incident metrics/trending.
Requirements
- University degree in Security Management, Policing, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in Security Management, including major events and intelligence gathering/analysis.
- Bilingual (French and English) with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work extended hours and travel; possible weekend work during crisis situations.
- Ability to function effectively in a highly complex, diverse, and sometimes ambiguous work environment.
- Problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with all levels of management and unionized staff.
- Ability to deal with people in crisis.
