About the role
- Senior software engineer leading Salesforce and FinancialForce application development for CDW, a Fortune 500 technology solutions provider. Designing, testing, and delivering large-scale business software projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform all stages of the software development life cycle
- Self-manage smaller projects and serve as technical lead on small, medium, and large projects
- Determine operating requirements, costs, and resource needs for assigned projects with project managers
- Co-lead an agile team with the Product Owner using Salesforce/FinancialForce PSA best practices and design techniques
- Participate in application architecture planning, including framework design, to optimize efficiency, maintainability, and scalability
- Lead and develop system narratives, storyboards, and user interface prototypes
- Lead and develop detailed design specifications
- Lead and develop system test plans, ensure SQA standards, and validate business goals
- Lead and develop project estimates covering resources, timelines, and budgets
- Develop applications to CDW coding standards and quality requirements
- Identify and resolve issues based on the underlying business problem
- Make technical decisions aligned with product road maps, architecture standards, and management direction
- Coach, mentor, and monitor junior team members
- Direct and focus technical project team efforts
- Complete projects and tasks on schedule according to stakeholder and management commitments
- Report project and task status during daily scrums to agile teams, product owners, and product managers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 7 years Development experience, OR 11 years total Information Technology experience including 7 years of Development experience
- Knowledge and practical application of Visualforce, APEX, Force.com APIs, Web Services, and Experience Builder
- Knowledge and practical application of FinancialForce Services CPQ, PSA with Salesforce CPQ
- Experience with source control systems such as Azure DevOps and Git
- Experience creating and maintaining Salesforce/FinancialForce profiles, permission sets, and objects
- Experience delivering solutions in Agile methodology in a CI/CD environment
- Ability to coach and mentor others
- Ability to build rapport and maintain productive cross-departmental and cross-functional relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including interaction with senior leadership
- Strong organizational, planning, creative problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
- Demonstrated success facilitating and implementing solutions
- Proven track record leading application development projects
- Ability to balance competing priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and meet deadlines
- Excellent customer-facing skills, including technical briefings and demonstrations
- Ability to perform effective code reviews and recommend automated review tools
- Experience in Agile SAFe Framework, a plus
- Experience supporting large-scale Salesforce implementations with multiple instances, a plus
- Ability to analyze system performance requirements and lead optimization/tuning, a plus
