About the role

  • Field Case Manager coordinating AbbVie patient journeys, reimbursement, and provider support through Cencora’s healthcare services. Working from a home office while visiting healthcare professionals and clinics as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for physicians
  • Communicate with patients as needed and program stakeholders, building and maintaining trusted relationships in the designated area
  • Educate healthcare providers and staff on program services, patient support resources, therapy navigation, reimbursement, and enrollment processes
  • Review patient charts and ensure completion of required documentation, including special authorizations, enrollment forms, and prescription renewals
  • Own the special authorization process, ensuring timely and accurate submissions and providing reimbursement guidance
  • Provide ongoing communication, updates, and guidance to physicians regarding patient status, program changes, and best practices
  • Adapt program elements to healthcare providers’ unique needs and personalize support for in-clinic and remote care
  • Proactively identify and address areas for quality improvement
  • Attend Continuous Healthcare Education events with healthcare professionals as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or related degree (BSc in Pharmacy or other Science degrees) or equivalent transferable skills
  • Knowledge of public or private third-party reimbursement arena
  • Bilingualism is an asset (requirement for province of Quebec)
  • Previous Case Manager experience is an asset
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities at once
  • Comprehension of medical terminology
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to engage with a physician and his/her staff as a trusted and well-informed medical counterpart
  • Excellent time management skills and sense of urgency
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with program associates
  • Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and in both English and French for the Quebec and New Brunswick Provinces
  • Detail and results oriented
  • Ability to adapt to change and ambiguity
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to attend Continuous Healthcare Education (CHE) events with HCPs, which may occur outside regular business hours
  • Hold and maintain a valid, non-expired, unrestricted driver’s license and a car
  • Adhere to Performance Standards and Procedures required by the program
  • Must have a private, dedicated home office space that accommodates equipment supplied by Innomar Strategies
