About the role
- Senior Product Designer shaping developer workflow products at Chromatic. Designing React interfaces, systems, and agent-enabled experiences from research through implementation.
Responsibilities
- Design product experiences from initial concept through user flows and pixels
- Understand the algorithms, policies, and prior art underpinning design
- Research customer workflows and weigh findings against business priorities to decide what to build
- Verify implementation quality, including interaction behavior, accessibility, copy, and edge cases
- Build durable design systems with components, tokens, and guidelines for engineers and agents
- Develop agent skills and harnesses encoding design decisions
- Collaborate with Marketing on visuals and content for shipped features
Requirements
- 8+ years of product design experience with strong UX and visual craft
- Experience shipping technical products and deep understanding of their mechanics
- Experience using coding agents, experimenting with new workflows, and tuning output quality
- Ability to build prototypes and production UI in React
- Ability to work within existing design patterns and balance scope against business needs
- Ability to bring recommendations, seek feedback early, and adapt based on new data
- Ability to explain technical ideas and design decisions clearly in writing and visuals
- Required location: North America or Europe
