About the role

  • Manager leading incident management and disaster recovery programs for Clio, a global legal AI technology company. Owning resilience roadmaps, tabletop exercises, DR testing, and crisis response.

Responsibilities

  • Own and improve Clio's Business Continuity, incident management, and disaster recovery programs
  • Design and run departmental, team-specific, and scenario-specific tabletop exercises
  • Convert tabletop, DR test, and real-incident findings into action plans and drive completion with owning teams
  • Keep disaster recovery plans, recovery tiers, RTO/RPO targets, and runbooks current
  • Coordinate and lead failover and recovery exercises, document results, and circulate reports for review and executive approval
  • Administer the incident management platform, including incident types, severities, response flows, escalations, roles, and automations
  • Track and interpret incident statistics and trends and identify process improvements
  • Own and defend the resilience roadmap and educate leadership and partner teams
  • Provide structure during live incidents and crisis-management escalations using Incident Command
  • Partner with Security, IT, and Production Engineering on cyber resilience and recovery planning
  • Use AI to assist and accelerate objectives and model effective AI use
  • Maintain clear, timely, and factual internal situation reporting and external/customer communication

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience owning incident management and/or disaster recovery programs at a technology or SaaS company
  • Trained and fluent in the Incident Command structure or an equivalent major-incident framework
  • Direct experience with Crisis Management Teams at tech companies
  • Demonstrated track record writing and facilitating tabletop exercises and driving resulting action items to completion
  • Experience coordinating DR tests end-to-end: planning, execution, results reporting, and shepherding reports through approvals
  • Hands-on administration of an incident management platform such as incident.io, PagerDuty, FireHydRant, or Opsgenie
  • Strong grasp of DR/BC fundamentals, including RTO/RPO/RTA, recovery tiers, service prioritization, and backup and recovery strategy
  • Comfort and effectiveness with AI
  • Deliberate decision-making approach and strong bias to action
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Comfort with ambiguity and change
  • Preferred: experience partnering with SecOps/IR on cyber recovery
  • Preferred: familiarity with ITIL, major incident management practices, and SLA-driven prioritization
  • Preferred: experience running blameless post-incident reviews and building program-health metrics/reporting
  • Preferred: certifications such as CBCP, MBCP, ABCP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, ITIL, or PMP
  • Preferred: experience building a resilience program toward maturity
