About the role

  • Senior Staff Software Engineer designing and implementing core FinTech systems at Coinbase. Collaborating with stakeholders to drive strategy and deliver quality solutions across platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement next generation core FinTech systems that power Coinbase
  • Interact with stakeholders in many different organizations that build Coinbase products or responsible for financial operations
  • Participate in shaping of the strategy and execution path of FinHub
  • Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines and deliverables with your technical expertise
  • Mentor and train other team members on design techniques and coding standards
  • Write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers.

Requirements

  • 12 + years of experience in backend software engineering using Golang or similar languages
  • Domain expertise in FinTech and / or trading
  • Proven track record of delivering impactful solutions that power significant fund flows
  • You’ve designed, built, scaled and maintained high throughput and low latency production services
  • You’ve experience in architecting and developing solutions to ambiguous problems with significant impact
  • Strong technical knowledge of building distributed systems that process massive scale
  • Solid communication skills, ability to communicate to stakeholders with various technical and non-technical backgrounds
  • Relentless drive to set and perseverance to achieve ambitious goals
  • Passion for building an open financial system that brings the world together.
