About the role
- Quality Assurance Technician responsible for testing and quality control at Coke Canada Bottling. Ensuring production meets standards while maintaining safety and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Mix the syrup, and adhere to quality control according to the standards established by the company.
- Prepare and handle raw materials and finished products in accordance with quality standards and requirements.
- Ensure the continuous production of syrup / mix according to quality standards.
- Revise the production schedule to ensure ideal inventory levels in addition to ordering raw materials.
- Rotate stocks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area in accordance with the company's health and safety requirements.
- Provide maintenance, storage and disposal of water treatment chemicals.
- Pursuit of excellence; continuously develop technical and personal skills to achieve a world class manufacturing environment throughout the facility.
- Analyze syrup beverage and/or water attributes.
- Audit materials including container rinsers, air blowers, filters, and coders to ensure proper operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in science related field
- Post secondary diploma in a related field preferred
- 1 - 3 years prior production/manufacturing experience OR 2+ years relevant lab technician experience
- Food/beverage industry experience is considered an asset
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with lab safety and handling of hazardous materials
- Readily accepts instruction from management/supervisors and executes effectively
- Reliable and open to a flexible schedule
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to read, write, and keep records
- Strong computer comprehension capabilities including Excel and Word and various quality programs
