About the role

  • Controls Application Engineer at Daikin Applied focusing on sales and consultative selling techniques in HVAC solutions. Mentoring service and solutions sales force while driving brand presence at marketing events.

Responsibilities

  • Coach, mentor, and train Daikin’s service and solutions sales force to use consultative selling techniques
  • Assist in development of strategic business plan to meet district sales quota
  • Coordinate sales strategies to target and secure prospects for energy efficient HVAC systems
  • Prepare and communicate pipeline reports, sales activity, and business plans
  • Partner with controls and energy engineering groups to analyze operating costs
  • Drive the Daikin brand at regional marketing events such as trade shows

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (engineering preferred) or equivalent work experience
  • 4-6+ years of experience in commercial HVAC, energy, or related field
  • Strong technical knowledge of procurement methods, contracting options
  • Experience with Tridium Niagara based or similar Open Protocol Systems and Building Automation System Architecture (Preferred)
  • Facility Management experience (Preferred)
  • Ability to travel up to 75%
