About the role

Securities Advisor helping Desjardins members and clients with investment products and personalized solutions. Supporting branch compliance, operations, client service, and administrative staffing.

Responsibilities

Serve, prospect for, solicit, and develop and maintain business relationships with members and clients
Sell securities products and services through various distribution channels based on member/client needs and current strategies and practices
Focus on discretionary management, mutual funds, exchange-traded funds and structured products
Handle special information requests from clients and promote and sell specialized products and services in accordance with business objectives and strategies
Ensure member/client satisfaction and service quality in accordance with organizational standards and procedures
Analyze member/client needs, develop and implement personalized solutions, and propose integrated service offers
Support current and potential members and clients, represent the organization, and help negotiate agreements with clients
Provide administrative assistance in compliance, budget monitoring, and management of administrative staff to the manager of a large branch or group of branches
Serve as a resource person for employees regarding policies, procedures, methods, and operational and interpersonal problem-solving
Work with support services to resolve everyday operational issues in the branch or branches
Supervise the deposit of client cheques and handle complex operational tasks, including coordinating interest management for new issues
Help recruit and hire administrative staff and handle logistics when employees start or leave
