Responsibilities
Develop analytical approaches to reduce volumes to be processed, automate transaction analysis (detecting recurring patterns) and improve operational productivity
Implement prioritization and targeting mechanisms to focus efforts on the highest-value alerts
Work closely with operations teams to translate field issues into concrete analytical solutions and support processing activities
Help implement solutions that address regulatory, operational and efficiency issues
Work closely with the second line of defence, project teams and IT within a structured governance framework (committees, follow-ups, deliverables) to ensure compliance, quality and robustness of solutions
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, mathematics or a related field
A minimum of six years of relevant data modelling or data science experience
Academic specialization beyond the bachelor’s degree level
Experience in quickly translating field issues into analytical solutions by working closely with operations
Knowledge of French is required
Intermediate knowledge of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
Expertise in data science (machine learning, statistics) and a good understanding of the limitations in an operational context
Proficiency in Python, analytical development practices (Git, MLflow, MLOps) and proficiency in distributed environments (Spark)
Knowledge of Azure / Databricks environment
Knowledge of financial crime regulatory frameworks (FINTRAC, FATF)
