About the role

  • Market Development Manager leading Desjardins teams selling financial products and services. Managing member relationships, business plans, performance, talent development and cooperative values in Brossard.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the department and strategically and operationally manage a team selling financial products and services
  • Build and maintain long-term business relationships with members and clients
  • Develop and monitor a business plan addressing priorities, challenges and objectives
  • Ensure sector performance and sound, prudent risk management
  • Manage employees and department performance
  • Oversee employee skills development and ensure high-quality service
  • Coach team members and provide advisory services and specific recommendations
  • Support the immediate supervisor in developing business strategies aligned with Desjardins’s priorities
  • Manage the member/client experience and quality of services and business relationships
  • Implement and monitor action plans to achieve target results
  • Establish management and communication practices supporting talent acquisition, talent management, team synergy and change management
  • Develop a competitive and profitable service offer with cross-organizational partnerships
  • Ensure process efficiency, continuous improvement and profitability
  • Promote the Desjardins brand and strengthen community ties
  • Uphold Desjardins’s cooperative values

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Mutual fund representative certificate – Autorité des marchés financiers
  • Strong communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written
  • Ability to lead, coach and motivate a team
  • Ability to develop talent and build effective teams
  • Knowledge of the organization and the relevant line of business
  • Ability to manage performance, make quality decisions and drive results
