About the role

  • Regional Director driving profitable growth and agent relationships for Desjardins’ independent insurance network. Leading regional strategy, recruitment, business development, and change management across London East.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic objectives, identify growth opportunities, and achieve key business results for the Desjardins Agent Network
  • Align agent needs with Desjardins’ products, services, and tools
  • Manage profitable growth and relationships across the defined geographic region of London East, including London, Brantford, and Cambridge
  • Consult with Desjardins Agents on business plans focused on Business Management, Sales Process, Team Member Development, Customer Experience, and Quality
  • Drive profitable, multi-line growth within the assigned region using market knowledge and subject matter expertise
  • Collaborate with new agent development resources to mentor and prepare agency candidates during training and field development
  • Identify and recommend strategic solutions for business challenges and market opportunities
  • Enhance operational systems supporting new market acquisition and retention
  • Recruit and attract talent to optimize the agency footprint
  • Develop and implement regional communication and change management strategies through virtual meetings, in-person sessions, study groups, and written communications
  • Promote Desjardins’ vision, cultural values, and leadership behaviours as a Brand Ambassador
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to support agent success

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of ten years of relevant experience
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Experience in the insurance or financial services industry
  • Familiarity in managing independent businesses
  • Holds the Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) and Other Than Life (OTL) license, or completion required in the first 6 months in the role
  • Expert proficiency of English
  • Advanced knowledge of P&C and Life Insurance products and understanding of market conditions
  • Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle
  • Available for travel to Aurora office for meetings
