About the role

Senior data solutions architect advising Desjardins, North America’s largest cooperative financial group. Designing complex IT solutions across data, applications, security and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Act as an architecture team member and specialized advisor on application solutions and operations architecture
Integrate one or more delivery teams for projects, initiatives and development activities with significant organizational impact
Advise business partners and stakeholders on planning, developing, configuring, executing and monitoring innovative technology solutions
Design IT solutions that meet business needs
Oversee development of policies and standards covering data, application, security and infrastructure needs
Identify and analyze potential IT solutions and issues
Report major issues, diagnose problems, establish guidelines and make recommendations to decision-making bodies and committees
Represent the unit before decision-making bodies and committees
Represent Desjardins in agreements with external partners and organizations
Serve as a specialist advisor, resource person and coach for decision-making bodies

Bachelor's degree in a related field
A minimum of six years of relevant experience
Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Knowledge of French is required
Expertise across data, applications, security and infrastructure
Strong analytical skills and comprehensive understanding of the line of business and organization
