About the role

  • Desjardins financial security advisor selling life and health insurance products. Advising clients on personalized life, health, and retirement security solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Serve, prospect for, solicit, and develop and maintain business relationships with members and clients
  • Sell life and health insurance products and services through multiple distribution channels based on member/client needs and current strategies and practices
  • Promote and sell financial security products and services
  • Analyze member/client needs and recommend personalized solutions
  • Balance sales objectives, sound and prudent risk management, profitability and member/client satisfaction
  • Develop and maintain personal business relationships with clients who have complex, diverse needs
  • Advise and assist current and potential members and clients
  • Represent Desjardins and enter the organization into agreements with clients
  • Establish and negotiate product and service terms in accordance with standards and procedures
  • Sell and provide advice on life, health, disability and critical illness insurance products
  • Assess customer satisfaction and service quality, follow up and make improvements as needed
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with referral sources
  • Help target and analyze potential member/client files
  • Act on business opportunities and present information to partners so that members and clients can reach their financial goals
  • Monitor the industry to identify business development opportunities and stay on top of new products and trends

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience
  • Representative’s certificate in damage insurance (AMF)
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
  • Available to work Monday to Friday, including two evening per week
