About the role

  • Senior security advisor simulating and mitigating cyberthreats for Desjardins, North America's largest cooperative financial group. Leading offensive security methodologies, tools and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze, eradicate and mitigate threats to Desjardins's systems, networks and applications
  • Simulate threats based on the continuous evolution of offensive techniques and threat actors
  • Design, develop and implement offensive methodologies and tools
  • Mitigate risks associated with offensive security tools and methodologies
  • Follow rigorous processes and develop new processes to prepare the organization for cyberattacks
  • Lead practitioners on development projects and complex, strategic initiatives
  • Clarify risks using simple language and involve stakeholders to strengthen Desjardins's security posture
  • Lead large-scale security development projects, initiatives and activities
  • Advise clients and partners on positioning, planning, solution selection, execution and monitoring of strategic projects
  • Develop and update policies, standards, models, methodologies, tools and programs
  • Conduct strategic monitoring to identify emerging security issues
  • Identify and analyze major issues, diagnose them and make recommendations
  • Analyze, map and explain threats to guide test activities
  • Represent the unit before decision-making bodies
  • Represent Desjardins in agreements with external partners and organizations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Minimum six years of relevant experience
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in French
  • Expertise in offensive and defensive security
  • Knowledge of security threats, threat actors and offensive techniques
  • Ability to develop security methodologies, tools, policies, standards and models
  • Ability to analyze and map threats and diagnose major security issues
  • Ability to advise clients, partners and decision-making bodies on strategic security initiatives
