Responsibilities
Supervise the cloud engineering team, providing mentorship and ensure high availability, security, and performance of cloud infrastructure through proactive monitoring and optimization.
Oversee daily cloud operations, maintaining high availability, scalability, and security.
Maintain compliance with industry standards and security protocols.
Assign and prioritize tasks to align with project timelines and organizational objectives. Oversee capacity planning, cost management, and incident response, ensuring operational resilience.
Provide mentorship and oversee career development for team members.
Provide regular updates to senior management on team progress and system performance metrics.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
Challenge existing practices and promote automation, observability, and process efficiency to reduce operational overhead.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to support new service launches and system enhancements.
Monitor infrastructure performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal system health.
Implement and refine automation processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual interventions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure roles, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
Proficiency in AWS services and Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash) and familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins).
Experience with performance monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog) and troubleshooting complex systems.
