About the role

Backend Developer focusing on building cloud-native microservices for telecom platforms at ELITS Canada. Involved in PostgreSQL performance and implementing microservices in a distributed environment.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain microservices within a telecom-grade distributed platform.
Contribute to the architecture and deployment of high-performance, geo-redundant PostgreSQL systems.
Analyze and improve database and application performance, ensuring low latency and high throughput for demanding workloads.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle: requirements, design, coding, testing, integration, production deployment, documentation, and support.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality increments.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
More than 5 years of professional experience in JavaScript / Node.js development.
Strong understanding of microservices architectures and distributed systems.
Deep experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and indexing strategies for large-scale systems.
Familiarity with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) and cloud-native patterns (service discovery, configuration management, observability).
Proficient with Linux environments, scripting, and fundamental networking concepts such as TCP/IP.
Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a distributed team.
