About the role
- Backend Developer focusing on building cloud-native microservices for telecom platforms at ELITS Canada. Involved in PostgreSQL performance and implementing microservices in a distributed environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain microservices within a telecom-grade distributed platform.
- Contribute to the architecture and deployment of high-performance, geo-redundant PostgreSQL systems.
- Analyze and improve database and application performance, ensuring low latency and high throughput for demanding workloads.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle: requirements, design, coding, testing, integration, production deployment, documentation, and support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality increments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- More than 5 years of professional experience in JavaScript / Node.js development.
- Strong understanding of microservices architectures and distributed systems.
- Deep experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and indexing strategies for large-scale systems.
- Familiarity with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) and cloud-native patterns (service discovery, configuration management, observability).
- Proficient with Linux environments, scripting, and fundamental networking concepts such as TCP/IP.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a distributed team.
