About the role
- Health, Safety & Environment Coordinator supporting safety compliance for PME’s heavy civil construction projects. Managing site documentation, inspections, training, incident investigations, and safety statistics.
Responsibilities
- Participate in morning toolbox talks
- Participate in weekly safety meetings
- Review workers' FLHAs
- Deliver project site safety orientations as needed
- Organize safety training as required
- Gather daily safety documents and scan them into job folders
- Organize and participate in weekly inspections
- Support field safety documentation
- Follow up on and investigate incidents
- Track project site safety statistics
Requirements
- Valid CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 required
- NCSO certificate
- Valid driver's license required
- Clean driver's abstract obtained no more than 30 days prior to employment start date
- Minimum 2 years working as a Safety Coordinator or equivalent experience
- Investigation training with root cause analysis experience
- Standard First Aid training required
- Ground Disturbance 2 training required
- Confined Space Entry training required
- Fall Protection training required
- Extremely proficient administrative skills and highly professional demeanor
- Attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Reliable means of transportation required
- Proficient English language skills required
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends when required
