About the role

  • Technical and Marketing Writer developing persuasive proposals, RFP responses, and case studies for Evolving Web’s digital experience projects. Translating complex technical solutions into clear client-facing content.

Responsibilities

  • Review RFPs and other opportunities to understand client needs, requirements, risks, gaps, and strategic fit
  • Summarize key requirements and provide insights supporting go/no-go decisions
  • Identify clarification questions, assumptions, dependencies, and potential solution approaches
  • Research clients, sectors, technologies, and relevant trends
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts to develop strategy, technical solutions, methodologies, work plans, and deliverables
  • Develop proposal themes and narratives communicating client challenges, approach, and value
  • Write and edit executive summaries, project approaches, technical responses, team profiles, company credentials, and proposal content
  • Develop case studies presenting client challenges, approach, and measurable results
  • Interview colleagues, clients, and subject-matter experts and turn insights into written content
  • Translate technical concepts into accessible language for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Adapt existing content for different clients, sectors, audiences, and formats
  • Maintain and improve the library of proposal content, case studies, project descriptions, and company credentials
  • Deepen knowledge of Evolving Web’s services, projects, technologies, clients, and sectors

Requirements

  • Approximately 4–6 years of experience in technical, proposal, business, content, communications, or professional-services writing
  • Strong research, analytical, interviewing, writing, and editing skills
  • Ability to understand complex or technical subject matter and communicate it clearly to different audiences
  • Experience interpreting detailed requirements, briefs, RFPs, or similar documents and transforming them into tailored written responses
  • Ability to synthesize information from multiple contributors and identify the strongest story, argument, or solution
  • Strong critical thinking and sound judgment
  • Excellent attention to detail while maintaining the larger strategic objective
  • Strong collaboration skills with technical, creative, strategic, and business stakeholders
  • Good time management and ability to manage multiple writing assignments and priorities
  • Strong communication skills in both French and English; English is required for regular collaboration with clients and team members outside Quebec
  • Experience in a digital agency, technology company, consulting firm, or professional-services environment strongly preferred
  • Experience or training in journalism, communications, science, technology, research, or a related field is an asset
  • Experience writing case studies, technical content, thought leadership, white papers, or long-form content is an asset
  • Understanding of web design, UX, software development, or digital strategy is an asset
  • Knowledge of Drupal, WordPress, or other web technologies is an asset
  • Experience with higher education, government, nonprofit, or public-sector organizations is an asset
  • Familiarity with public-sector RFPs or procurement processes is an asset
  • Remote applicants must be available during Montreal working hours, comfortable using tools such as Slack, self-managing, and proactive in communication
