Responsibilities
- Write original, well-researched feature articles, how-tos, and tutorials across core coverage verticals
- Break down technical topics into actionable, practical, reader-friendly guides
- Pitch engaging article ideas aligned with the enthusiast audience
- Choose article topics from a topic pool and coordinate with the editorial team on assignments and feedback
- Follow How-To Geek Editorial Guidelines while producing unique, high-quality content
- Input work into the in-house CMS according to editorial guidelines
- Produce articles in a timely manner
Requirements
- Relevant experience writing and editing technology content in the English language
- Strong familiarity with one or more core coverage areas: PC Hardware, Operating Systems, Software, Mobile, New Tech, or Streaming
- Ability to work reliably within a US time zone
- Proficiency with SEO practices
- Experience using a custom CMS
- CV and cover letter required
- At least 2–3 feature articles or tutorials demonstrating the ability to explain technical subjects
- Links to social profiles or portfolio
- Adherence to Valnet Editorial Standards, including prohibition of using Artificial Intelligence
