- Participate in Globe events
- Collaborate with newsroom colleagues on story ideas and the best way to tell them
- Match stories to community needs
- Help build a new local journalism initiative in Ottawa
Requirements
- At least five years experience reporting for newsrooms or writing on municipal affairs
- Sharp instincts for stories that will resonate locally in Ottawa
- Exceptional writing with strong analytical skills
- Solid news judgment with a track record of enterprise work
- Comfortable working in a variety of formats, including live blogs, newsletters, video and audio
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Position based in Ottawa
- Minimum of two days a week in office
