Responsibilities
Manage and further develop FCC Capital processes, policies, documentation and reporting, including valuation, investment approval, business planning, reputational risk, accounting, reporting and committee-related materials
Develop reporting strategies, configure new reporting and dashboards, and prepare monthly, ad hoc, quarterly and annual reports for senior leadership, management and the Board
Lead the FCC Capital business plan, including short-, medium- and long-term objectives, measurable key performance indicators and value-add objectives
Partner with internal stakeholders, FCC middle- and back-office teams and investment professionals to support deal activity, execution and strategy development
Provide analysis, oversight, support and information sharing for pipeline and portfolio management, deal support and operations, including forecasting, capital calls, legal documentation reviews and funding coordination
Oversee a small team, including daily supervision, performance and development
Report to the Managing Director, FCC Capital
Lead strategic initiatives and divisional projects and provide professional advice, support and information for decision-making
Requirements
A degree in finance, business administration or commerce
At least seven years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
Knowledge of financial institutions, including how they operate, manage risk and make investment or lending decisions
Knowledge of private real asset investing, including security selection and asset allocation, with experience across acquisition, asset management and divestment
Strong judgment and decision-making skills, strategic and conceptual thinking, collaboration and influence
Experience building and managing strategic relationships
Proficiency in both official languages (English and French)
Preferred: Knowledge of agriculture industry trends, risk mitigation and financial analysis techniques, accounting principles, and lending policies and procedures
Preferred: Experience building and operating sophisticated investment portfolio management processes and systems
Preferred: Experience collaborating with senior executives
