About the role

  • Staff Pharmacist filling prescriptions and providing patient consultations remotely across Ontario and Saskatchewan. Collaborating with pharmacy team and adhering to regulatory standards from home.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and safely fill prescriptions using established workflow procedures.
  • Counsel patients on new therapies, ensuring understanding and comfort with their medications.
  • Monitor patient adherence and provide ongoing medication consultations.
  • Perform clinical verification, ensuring prescriptions are safe, accurate, and clinically appropriate prior to dispensing. This role involves detailed review and assessment performed primarily through our computer systems and requires sustained periods of screen time.
  • Maintain patient profiles and records in accordance with all privacy and regulatory standards in both provinces.
  • Collaborate closely with a team of pharmacists, technicians, and other pharmacy staff — remotely and cross-functionally — to support smooth, efficient daily operations.
  • Ensure full compliance with all regulations set by NAPRA, the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP), and the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals (SCPP).
  • Flexibility to support shift coverage on short notice is considered an asset.

Requirements

  • Active, dual licensure — Part A with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) **and** registration in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals (SCPP).
  • Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience; mail-order or high-volume setting preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Kroll and general pharmacy IT systems.
  • Reliable home internet connection and a private, quiet workspace suitable for handling confidential patient information.
  • Accuracy in prescription preparation, labeling, and documentation is essential.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or collaboratively with a distributed team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
