About the role
- Equipment Operator maintaining roadways, surfaces, and various construction projects for Ferrovial. Operating vehicles and equipment for repair and maintenance, ensuring quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair highway surfaces including signs, guardrails, and potholes
- Operate vehicles and equipment for maintenance and repair
- Remove snow and ice using snow removal equipment
- Set up and remove traffic control as needed
- Transport crew and equipment to work sites
- Available for emergency response rotations as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years related work experience in construction, road maintenance, or highway infrastructure (preferred)
- Valid Ontario Class DZ driver’s license or higher
- Successful completion of training in traffic control methods, first aid, and WHMIS
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
