About the role
- Equipment Operator maintaining roadways and contracted assets for Webber, part of Ferrovial. Operate equipment for construction and maintenance tasks in Ontario and ensure safety standards compliance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair highway and other surfaces including signs, guardrails, and potholes
- Operate vehicles and equipment for maintenance and repair tasks
- Control vegetation appearance and growth
- Remove snow and ice using appropriate equipment
- Setup and remove traffic control as required
- Transport crew and equipment to work sites
- Be available for emergency response rotations as required
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years related work experience in construction or road maintenance
- Valid Ontario Class DZ driver's license or higher with an acceptable driving record
- Successful completion of training in traffic control methods, first aid, WHMIS, and job-related Occupational Health aspects
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools, traffic control devices, and mobile equipment
