Responsibilities
- Perform essential accounting activities in accordance with IFRS and company policies
- Provide forecasting, budgeting, and budget variance analysis
- Produce analyses and recommendations for financial and non-financial stakeholders
- Review business unit results and challenge certain assumptions as needed
- Analyze large, complex datasets and perform financial modeling
- Improve the accessibility, understanding, and use of data
- Prepare communications and presentations for senior management
- Explain complex issues to influence, persuade, and inform stakeholders
- Collaborate with the parent company on financial consolidation and cost sharing
- Take on additional responsibilities to support the growth and success of the Corporation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, commerce, or a related field
- CPA designation or another recognized professional accounting designation
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in business, accounting, and/or financial analysis for the Senior Financial Analyst position – Level 18
- Demonstrated communication, organizational, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Extensive knowledge of IFRS and strong command of accounting and financial analysis principles
- Demonstrated ability to prepare, analyze, and present complex quantitative and qualitative financial information
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work effectively with complex databases
- Candidates legally authorized to work in Canada are preferred at the time of application
- Ability to meet government security screening requirements
