About the role

  • Warranty Coordinator supporting service operations at Finning Canada by managing warranty claims and reviewing repair documentation. Collaborating with service teams and suppliers to ensure warranty compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Review equipment warranty coverage and determine claim eligibility
  • Audit service work orders and repair documentation for warranty compliance
  • Prepare, submit, and track warranty and goodwill claims with manufacturers and suppliers
  • Investigate warranty registration discrepancies and coordinate resolution
  • Act as a liaison between service teams, suppliers, and manufacturers regarding warranty-related matters
  • Provide guidance and support to branch personnel on warranty processes and claim requirements
  • Assist with the implementation of new warranty procedures and best practices
  • Ensure qualifying repair costs are charged to the appropriate warranty or policy accounts
  • Return non-qualifying charges for correction when required

Requirements

  • Experience in warranty administration, service operations, equipment maintenance, or a related field
  • Understanding of technical failure analysis and repair documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to audit records accurately
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage high workloads and competing priorities
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience working with heavy equipment, construction equipment, mining equipment, or related industries (preferred)
  • Knowledge of warranty claim processes and manufacturer warranty programs (preferred)
  • Familiarity with service department operations and work order management systems (preferred)
  • Mechanical aptitude and equipment product knowledge (preferred)
