Responsibilities
- Design complex, large-scale systems to support our big data applications
- Leverage infrastructure effectively to solve these kinds of problems
- Conduct feasibility studies for the evolution or redesign of software systems
- Design new software, websites, and applications
- Work with our machine learning engineers to productionize cutting‑edge deep learning algorithms
- Develop internal tools and contribute to open source projects
- Implement (and automate) processes to maintain a tested, stable, and high-quality codebase
Requirements
- Prior experience as a software developer
- Experience with some of the following technologies: Python 3, Flask, JavaScript, VueJS, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Amazon Web Services, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes
- Experience with databases and designing complex, scalable queries
- Experience in designing and operating large-scale systems
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Ability to continuously deliver value by iterating on solutions
- Ability to mentor less experienced developers
- Ability to clearly explain your technical choices and the trade-offs associated with your designs
