About the role
- Full Stack Developer Co-op building Java and JavaScript features for Flexspring's HR integration platform. Shipping API-driven product work for enterprise HR systems.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve features in Flexspring's iPaaS product
- Understand the customer problem each feature solves
- Write backend and full stack code in Java and JavaScript
- Work with APIs and data flowing between HR systems
- Use modern tooling, including AI, and review its output before shipping
- Write and run tests
- Collaborate with experienced developers through code reviews and team discussions
Requirements
- You've already completed minimum one co-op term or have some relevant professional work experience
- Currently studying Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Solid foundation in Java and/or JavaScript
- Some exposure to Spring and JUnit; school projects count
- Experience with or knowledge of APIs
- Strong analytical thinking
- Ability to learn unfamiliar technology, including AI tools, and critically review generated output
- Curiosity, motivation, and enjoyment of investigating problems
- Experience with REST APIs, React, GraphQL, Groovy, JMS, or SOAP is nice to have
- Interest in integration platforms (iPaaS) is nice to have
