About the role
- Cleanroom Technician preparing sterile medicines at Fresenius Kabi Canada's hospital compounding facility. Supporting compounding, decontamination, quality checks, packaging, and cleanroom operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile products using proper aseptic techniques in compliance with established procedures
- Adhere to GMP standards, SOPs, and all quality and safety requirements
- Perform staging, decontamination, labeling, inspection, and packaging activities
- Maintain proper line clearance and ensure accuracy during all production steps
- Operate and maintain production equipment safely and effectively
- Ensure adequate availability of cleanroom supplies to meet production needs
- Complete required in-process checks to maintain compliance and product quality
- Participate in inventory counts, validations, calibration, and environmental monitoring
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper waste handling in cleanroom areas
- Support training of new employees and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and other departments
- Maintain up-to-date training and comply with company policies and procedures
Requirements
- Pharmacy Technician diploma or post-secondary education in a related field
- 1–2 years of compounding experience is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of GMP and standard operating procedures
- Familiarity with Lean/5S principles is an asset
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and work ethic
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions
- Frequent use of arms and manual dexterity during compounding and packaging
- Ability to lift up to 20 kg as required
- Ability to wear full cleanroom attire for prolonged periods
- High attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
