About the role

  • QA Engineer ensuring quality and reliability of web applications and AI decision logic at Future Works. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to build automated test frameworks for production-ready AI outputs.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain automated test coverage across APIs, front-end workflows, data pipelines, and decision-engine behaviour to support rapid, reliable delivery.
  • Test the web application across core user journeys, including planner workflows, tabular outputs, visualizations, authentication, role-based access, and general usability under real operating conditions.
  • Build automated evaluation frameworks for non-deterministic AI output, using scenario libraries, expected-behaviour rules, and regression baselines to assess output quality at scale.
  • Validate model recommendations against historical baselines and comparison scenarios to ensure the system is producing credible and explainable outputs.
  • Test allocation logic, exception handling, edge cases, and business-rule behaviour to ensure recommendations remain valid under real operational constraints.
  • Verify that savings calculations, cost deltas, and value-realization outputs reconcile cleanly against agreed baseline and reporting logic.
  • Own defect tracking, test evidence, regression coverage, and release sign-off so the platform is safe, reviewable, and ready for use.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in QA Engineering, Software Quality Assurance, or Test Automation, with a strong track record of building reliable automated test coverage for production systems.
  • Hands-on experience with modern test automation frameworks, API testing, UI testing, regression testing, and CI/CD-based quality workflows.
  • Strong experience testing web applications, including workflow validation, browser compatibility, role-based access, and data-heavy interfaces.
  • Experience testing AI-enabled systems where outputs are non-deterministic and quality must be verified through structured evaluation frameworks rather than simple pass/fail assertions.
  • Strong ability to compare outputs against baselines, identify failure patterns, and translate ambiguous system behaviour into actionable defects and test rules.
  • Proven ability to test across application code, data pipelines, model services, and business-rule layers rather than focusing only on the user interface.
  • Previous experience working with supply chain, logistics, fulfilment, or ERP-driven operational workflows is highly preferred.
  • Good judgment around traceability, auditability, and release control in environments where system behaviour must be explainable and reviewable.
  • Comfort utilizing LLM code assistants and agentic engineering to improve test design, coverage generation, and defect analysis.

Benefits

  • Work from anywhere, forever - We are a fully remote and global team. We trust you to manage your time and energy to deliver exceptional results.
  • Connect deeply - We gather for immersive, all-expenses-paid company retreats in unique locations to connect, learn, and grow together.
  • Share in the upside - A competitive compensation package including equity, bonuses, substantial participation in company profits with a clear growth path to C-Level leadership based on performance.
